I’m Dr. Kate Stone, a Buyers Agent with a PhD in Cognitive Science, over a decade in academic research and lecturing, eight years in data analytics, and hands-on experience building my own property investment portfolio. I founded this agency to combine my analytical skills, passion for real estate, and commitment to helping women achieve financial independence.

Meet Kate Stone
There was a moment in my corporate career when I realised something didn’t quite sit right. On paper, everything looked great! I had a solid income, a stable role, a clear path to retirement. But when I imagined doing the same thing for the next 20 years, quite frankly, I did not feel good. Not because the job was hard, but because it was uninspiring. I was busy, capable, doing all the “right” things, but the idea of staying on that path felt suffocating.
Like so many professional women, I was juggling responsibility, ambition, and the constant mental load that comes with work, family, and life. I wanted more freedom, choice and reassurance that all the effort I was putting in would actually pay off and not just someday, but in a way that gave me peace of mind.
I’d already purchased two investment properties and found myself genuinely enjoying the process. I analysed the data, understood suburb growth, rental yields, tax benefits, and negotiating with agents. With a strong background in data analytics, I learned how to rely on the numbers and remove emotion to make smart and strategic decisions. Slowly, a bigger picture emerged, this wasn’t just about property, it was about taking control of my future.
I realised that many women around me were in the same position. Intelligent, successful, thoughtful women with savings in the bank, doing everything right, but unsure on how to turn that hard-earned money into long-term security. Being time-poor, carrying the mental load and sometimes partnered with someone less enthusiastic about doing the research and intimidated by an industry that can feel aggressive, confusing, and male-dominated.
That’s why I started Kate Stone Property.
